Attendant Console in the UC App

Attendant Console in the UC App

Overview

The Attendant Console is a specialized interface within the UC application designed for receptionists, operators, and anyone who manages a high volume of incoming calls across an organization. It provides a real-time view of extension availability and call activity, making it easy to direct calls to the right person quickly. The Attendant Console must be enabled for your account by an administrator.

Extension Monitoring

The console displays a grid or list of extensions across the organization, each showing its current status in real time. Available extensions appear clearly distinguishable from those that are busy or on a call. This allows the attendant to make informed decisions before transferring a call rather than sending it to someone who is already occupied.

Handling and Transferring Calls

Incoming calls appear in the console and can be answered directly from the interface. Once on a call, the attendant can transfer it to any extension visible in the console with a single click. Both blind transfers and attended transfers are available, giving the attendant the option to announce the call before completing the transfer when the situation calls for it.

Managing Multiple Calls

The Attendant Console supports managing multiple simultaneous calls. Calls can be placed on hold while another is handled, then retrieved and transferred in sequence. This makes the console well suited for busy reception environments where several calls may arrive in quick succession.
