Record Voicemail Greetings

Recording a Greeting for a New Phone User

  1. Access voicemail by dialing *62 or 5001, or by pressing the Voicemail or Message button on the phone.
  2. Enter your password. The default password is 5050 or 9876.
  3. The first time you log in, the system will prompt you to record your unavailable greeting and your name.
  4. If the system does not prompt you automatically:
    • To record your unavailable greeting: press 6 for the greeting menu, press 1 to record, then press 1 for the default unavailable message.
    • To record your name: press 5 for the options menu, then press 2 to record your name.

Recording a Temporary Greeting (Out of Office)

  1. Access voicemail by dialing *62 or 5001, or by pressing the Voicemail or Message button on the phone.
  2. Enter your password.
  3. Press 6 for the greeting menu, press 1 to record, then press 2 to record an alternate greeting such as a vacation message.
  4. Record your message after the tone and press # when done.
  5. Press 1 to set this as your active greeting.
  6. When the temporary greeting is no longer needed, return to the greeting menu and switch back to greeting 1.

Recording a Greeting for a Non-Phone User Account

  1. From any phone, dial 5000.
  2. Enter the account’s extension number when prompted.
  3. Enter the password (default is 5050).
  4. The first time you log in, the system will prompt you to record the unavailable greeting and name.
  5. To re-record:
    • To record the unavailable greeting: press 6 for the greeting menu, press 1 to record, then press 1 for the default unavailable message.
    • To record the name used for the dial-by-name directory: press 5 for the options menu, then press 2 to record the name.
